Dj,

Welcome!

I had the pleasure of going to MVMCP in 2001. Would I go again? In a heartbeat.

Picture a snowfall up Mainstreet, most of the E-ticket rides open, short lines (I think they limit it to 20,000 - 25,000 people in the park) free hot cocoa and cookies, souvenir button and souvenir photograph that greets you when you get home from your Disney Trip.

Oh yeah - did I mention the spectacular fireworks?

As for them selling out we bought our tickets in August and had our pick of nights. I haven't yet seen the schedule for this year. I'm hoping to get to WDW this Christmas again. Last year, according to another website (wdwig) only one of the days sold out.

Hope this helps!

I have heard they limit ticket sales to about 20,000 per night, but since Disney doesn't release that sort of info officially, who knows?!?!?

I have to wonder with the tickets going on sale so early this year if there won't be larger ticket sales. Disney made a smart move with the timing, I think. Tax refunds are coming out now. What better way to blow that money on a good time than buying a part of a Disney vacation?

I know that Fridays have been the big nights in the past, but I just have to wonder this year what we are in for. Mickey

PS. I'll be there 12/14/03. :xmas:

GO WITHOUT ANY HESITATION. I would say this is the best event of the whole year. The characters dressed up in there holiday wear, great parade, and not very crowded like normal days. this by far is my favorite time to go. Its gettng harder and harder each year to talk my parents intoo buying them so i think il start asking now.

Dont hesitate act fast. By far the best disney event .:xmas:

I went for the first time last year and LOVED it!!!

I'm sure some nights must be more popular than others as far as selling out, as I was a "walk-up" the evening I went and there were plenty of tickets available.

They will have signs posted at the entrance to the MK on the mornings of the events letting you know if the event has sold out or if tickets are still available for that night.

To be sure, though, it can't hurt ordering them in advance of your visit!

The button is just a regular metal 3-4 round button that pins on with the logo of that year's MVMCP artwork on it.

The photo is a cool remembrance of the night. There are photo areas designated throughout the park where they will take your family photo with a Disney Christmas background.
About a week later, they will send it to you with an opprotunity to buy more if you like them to send to your family and friends.

It's a great surprise after you get back from your trip!

Best part.....both are included with your admission!!!

MVMCP

I attended the MVMCP last Christmas. It was GREAT! I would go again in a second if i was given the opportunity. It was just awesome. It was like Disney "Heaven". Very shory (if any) lines at the main attractions. Imagine this--Disney giving out FREE hot chocolate and cookies. Another thing to attend if they have it again is the candlelight processional. It is totally free and during park hours. It is the retelling of the Christmas story by a famous person. There was a larger lady translating the words into sign language. When there was music she danced. She really got into the dancing! I saw several people around me politely pointing to the lady and laughing or chuckling. But other than that, it was wonderful. It was at the American Gardens Theater. Anyway, at the MVMCP you are treated like a king!:king:

I'm from the UK and will be going to MVMCP this year.

I assume they'll send my photo overseas to my home? Or will that be a problem? Hope not!!

See u there!!

:xmas:

I've just booked mine for Dec. 14th and 18th.

Anyone on here from UK ever bought any? If so, how long did they take to arrive?

I was on the phone for 15 minutes. The phone bill!!!

My stomach is now in a complete whirl with thoughts of Mickey wearing his Santa suit, hot choccy, and short queues.

Roll on :xmas:

Is the souvenier photo included in the price? I know they show this as one of the things going on at the party but...is there an additional charge if you actually order one of the prints?
