I know a lot of you are fans of Deb Willis' site so you may have seen this already. If so, I apologize.

Take a look at this link: Mickey SOS for Children Project

If you have any Disney soaps laying around that were a good souvenier to bring home but are now sitting around not being used, this may inspire you to do something with them.

If you wish to send anything per the attached link, here is the address:

Mickey SOS for Children Project

Also keep this in mind if you have any upcoming trips. I know some of you like to raid the maid's cart

I missed this post when it was current. I thought I would bump it to current in case anyone else was interested as I was in this thoughtful story and project.

I sent a whole box full of soap, shampoo, and shower caps from the Contemporary when I got home in May. I plan on doing it again next time I go, even though it cost me $10 to send it.

Ringo8n24: your icon is adorable! is that your daughter? she reminds me so much of my cousin Caitie, who dressed up as Minnie on Halloween. they look very similar.

How do you transport it? We have taken it home and the shampoo leaks. They have been doing this for the kids for a long time and every time I bring it home it is a mess and we have to toss it.

Thanks,
Mike

Are you flying or driving? Usually when flying they leak while in the cargo hold of the plane. I usually put them in a ziploc bag and put them in my carry on if I am flying.

We do fly. I will try carrying it on in January.

Thanks. :)

I filled the bottom of my carry-on bag with all these without leaking problems. Just make sure all the lids are tight before putting them away. Ask the maid for extras too! Elsa hooked us up last week!

Great idea!

I had never heard of this. I am going to Disney in 10 days (yeah!). I always bring toiletries home and use them but this time I will buy my own soap at the store and bring home as much as I can get and send it. What a great program! Thanks for the info :)
