News Mickey Celebrates 90 Years at Disneyland on November 18

This might be a bit early, but I miss when both Disneyland and Walt Disney World used to make special events and parades for a charater's major birthday/anniversary like it was in 1978, 1988 (Mickey's 50th and 60th Birthday), 1984 (Donald Duck's 50th Birthday), and 1992 (Goofy's 60th Birthday)

Even the Main Street Electrical Parade made a special float just for Mickey's 60th Birthday for a brief period that same year. Donald was even on the drum float during that period.


Disney sure don't make special celebrations or parades like this anymore.

I have a feeling it won't last the entire year. It'll probably end in spring. The exhibit they have going up in NYC only goes from November 8th 2018 - February 10th 2019.

So it'll probably still be a SW:GE summer.

1st half of 2019 Mickey Mouse!
2nd half of 2019 SW:GE!
It'll be a busy year.

I didn't know the momma possum on BTMRR was suppose to swing back and forth. Those babies really spin fast. I don't think I've ever seen them do that.

Well, as long as there's American flag bunting back up on Main Street I can dig it.

As much as it's all about Mickey......What about Minnie? She premiered with Mickey in Steamboat Willie...Why not Celebrate both of them.

The exhibit will be touring throughout the year, presumably. The FAQ implies that the exhibit will appear elsewhere after NYC.

Maybe, but that doesn't indicate it will be a year long thing at the parks. 2019 has too many other things going on at the parks, namely SW:GE on both coasts.

Yes, I was only talking about the exhibit. Most likely the "World's Biggest Mouse Party" announcement is intentionally vague.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "World's Biggest Mouse Party" at the parks was a weekend long celebration over a holiday weekend, say Memorial Day weekend. ;):p:cool:
