I was thinking the ones with the Mickey ear balloons inside the larger oval balloons.

I am thinking it was ~$10 each....I remember being a little shocked. :P

8-12 cash only :) also if you are staying at the ak lodge, they collect the balloon and when you check out they will fetch it for you. its for the safety of animals. hope this helps

My big issue is trying to remember to have cash on hand - which never seems to happen. If memory serves correctly- most of the balloons I've asked about were in the $10-12 range. The reality with the cost...the prices for the larger ones really aren't that far off from what you'd pay for some of the medium to medium large milars at Party City. For example, the balloon from PC pictured below is $8.99+tax.

I also just bought a 2 pack of red balloons like the ones pictured below...

These are 15" balloons (so around the size of the ones in the park that are covered in the clear heavier balloon)...I still paid around $3.32 per balloon and this is before helium. With the supposed helium shortage...I'm expecting the cost per balloon to work out to nearly $6 per balloon - and this is just basic latex style...so I don't think the park balloons are really that over priced in the grand scheme of things.

Edit- some one also asked about the park princess balloon. We were "given" one back in 2010 as one family's way of spreading the magic. :) We passed it on as well when we checked out since we couldn't fly with it, but I recall the original gifting family saying it cost them $12. It was the big pink one with the ruffle edges.

After the 3rd day in the park, our balloon had a small leak and would droop down to the stroller. We took it back to the balloon person and they replaced it free. Then on our last day we handed it off to a little girl on our way out so someone else could enjoy it for the week.
