Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2025

I predict the last two dates sell out within the next couple of days.

Looks like my date finally sold out.

How have the crowds felt this season during the sold out events?
I recall the last two years were pretty reasonable even with a sold out event.
Nothing like the mayhem in 2018 and 2019.

It felt more crowded to me than last year’s party, especially when viewing the parade and show.

From videos I have watched it definitely seems busier than in years past. So much so that a random Sunday night is often slower and with shorter lines. One Youtuber also mentioned something that I didn't think about. Disney has removed all reference to advertising these events as "enjoy your favorites with shorter waits" etc. They know they're overselling it. In the attractions section of the website it just mentions the overlays and which attractions will be open. Nothing about shorter waits or anything. So IMO, you're no longer paying for that to be part of the experience and it needs to be worth it based on the other factors.

You mean hauling 18lbs of candy, per person, back to your room and then figuring out what to do with it isn’t worth it? 🤯

So Disney is both setting arbitrarily low limits to be able to claim "sell outs" when the demand really isn't there and also overselling the party nights so that the wait times are just as long as at other times? Man, Disney is truly an evil genius! And these forums never disappoint...
A lot of this conspiracy stuff is contradictory or completely unsupported.

It’s actually incredible how they are able to do this. So I hear (just a conspiracy theory), that what Disney does is set an attendance amount of people who would be able to attend each night… then they SELL these tickets to people with promises of exclusive shows, merchandise, food, etc. Then people exchange their money for a “ticket” to this event. This “ticket” allows them to enter the event, ride the rides and do the party stuff. Once they have sold a certain number of these “tickets”, they STOP selling them which further increases demand as people want to be one of these lucky few with “tickets” to an exclusive “event”. Pretty shady stuff if I don’t say so myself. I know most other theme parks would not do this luckily.

On a serious note, Disney was very, very different many years ago and there are people who fell in love with those differences.

I understand the turning away from present day Disney and the reminders (or information) on how Disney has changed for the worse.

But the unsupported conspiracy claims and statements that are blatantly false aren’t fooling anyone.

Because of the extensive number of visits you’ve made to “most other theme parks”?

Still waiting to find out if you’ve never been to WDW yet or if earlier this year was your first ever visit.
