Okay, it may be suicide for a junior member to post this, but I am really curious as to what people think of Eisner. So indulge my curiousity, that way I can find out if I'm the only one who is getting frustrated by the way he is running the company.
I personally feel that Eisner is killing the dream. Eisner (and Roy, to an extent) both seem to be too greedy to run the company. I may be naive, but I thought that Walt did this for the KIDS... not the money. Disney is a place to be happy, a wonderful land of magic and make-believe. So many people dont go now because they feel like they are getting ripped off.
And do NOT get me started on all these stupid sequels to the classics
. I was okay with sequels to Pocohantis for historical reasons, and The Lion King was fine because that was unique in the first place. But Peter Pan, Cinderella, and Hugo's Hunchback... these sequels just so me that Eisner has forgotten why Disney was started in the first place.
Please post and tell me if I'm off base with this...
