One day I'll have a main street window

OK. I was at M.G.M. Studios yesterday, when at night in front of the great movie ride I hear what I am almost completely sure is Either the Diagon Alley or Harry's Wonderous world song from the Harry Potter movie soundtrack. This was created by time warner, not M.G.M., despite what unknowing castmembers told me. Does anyone know anything about this???????

I had a guest ask me this same question last night (3-11-02). I know that it is not our product, but since I have not heard the music before I sent him to guest relations to ask. I don't know what he found out if anything. Now I'm curious.

:lol: LOL. That was me. I went to guest relations, and asked one man walking inside. He did not have an answer. I had to leave then, so I was not able to find out. Could you maybe find out for me? Does anybody else no about this? Thanks, bye!

Well, I'm pretty gosh darn sure that if you stand out by the ticket booths at the front of the park long enough, you'll hear the theme to Back to the Future.... As for the Harry Potter thing, Disney did buy the television rights to the two movies. Perhaps there were other perks from the deal. Universal hasn't done anything with Harry Potter in its parks so perhaps Disney has a hold of it in that sense. Only speculation. I really don't know

MGM plays a lot of non-disney music at the entrance...they are simply playing movie music...regardless of the company (granted there is more disney music than anything else, they do play famous music from other company's movies)

Well I finally met a poster in the park without knowing it. LOL
I'll see if I can find out for you. I guess you know who I am now.

this goes along with the final movie in TGMR. Think about the movies shown and how many are Disney or MGM. BraveHeart? No. Terminator? No. Some like it hot? Maybe, oh wait, no.

I called the Disney library today and the person said the music is comprised of 16 sections from different movies. Gone with the Wind, South Pacific, etc. and that according to her records, its been the same since 1990. Soooo, Potter music would not be in it, unless it was recently changed and the records not updated as of yet. That's the best I can do at this time. Any potter fans been to the studios and heard the music themselves?

I've heard BTTF music at MGM, and I think I've even heard ET music too. It really puzzles me...

Also, did anyone notice that the Disney Channel played Back To The Future 2 the other night? How crazy is that?
