Hi, I was wondering if one of you could help me :)

I have recently had my pc repaired and upgraded, and my whole hard disk was wiped, and we upgraded from xp home to professional. In XP Home, I used to get those little dialogues popping up saying "If you are receiving this message....your computer is not safe!....Visit www.blockmessenger.com". Well, I read somewhere on what to do, I think it involves changing the registry. Thing is, i've forgotten what to do to stop them :hammer:

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance! :D

Here's all you need to do. Go to the Start button and then go into the control panel. From here, go into administrative tools and then into services. Inside services you will find an item called messenger. Right click on it and go into the properties. On startup status, make it say disabled, and then click on the stop button to kill the service. This will stop them from happening and also keep it from restarting the next time you reboot your pc. Hope this help!
