1. I am not traveling during the promotion time frame.
2. The discount is not enough.
3. The store I want to shop at is not on the list.
4. Disney merchandise is too expensive.

My complaint is that the whole concept is kind of tacky. What about those discounts, Iger? I thought guest spending was up, right?

My complaint is that even with the discount - even with a friend's CM discount - there is precious little I ever want to buy at WDW anymore.

I actually think their merchandise has improved recently. It was god-awful by the mid-late 2000s...

Actually, yes - somewhat. Still nothing I'd buy, still a lot of godawful tacky garbage. The Art of Disney stores are still filled with ugly, tacky, horrible things.

But, yes, there has been a very slight improvement over I'd say the past two years or so.

Maybe another decade of incremental improvements would lead to something I'd buy.

In the past, has pretty much only been the "big" stores--Emporium, MouseGear, I think WoD, whatever the sort of main stores are in DHS and AK. So no Art of Disney or Arribas or anything.

In the past, no, you could not. This is not a new promotion, I think it's at least 3 years old. All about getting people in the otherwise empty shops in the morning.

I am thrilled to see them offer any kind of discount. Though it does seem like it de-values the AP 10% discount a little. Still, never look a gift horse in the mouth.
