Meeting the Evil Queen/Maleficent

I was curious to know if it's going to be possible at all to meet the Evil Queen and/or Maleficent during on January 2016 trip to Disney World.

It seems like they would have rare appearances, but I would LOVE to do a meet and greet with either of them or both of them. I know they come out around Halloween, but I didn't know if they were around all the time and if I'd be lucky enough to catch them during our trip.

Maleficent has been found at International Gateway in the past, but it's VERY rare.

The Evil Queen has appeared at Character Palooza at DHS, but the times for it are always changing.

Even at MNSSHP, you can't meet these great villains as meet n greet characters unless you count the Hag (who the Evil Queen transforms into).

Darn, not so great news unfortunately ):

I figured as much though!
Why couldn't I be obsessed with more popular characters? Elsa & Anna are easily accessible, haha. Of course I'd decide to love the Villains that are hard to come by, heheh...

I randomly met the Evil Queen this past Feb at the international gateway entrance.

I think the wait would be shorter to meet the Evil Queen at international gateway then it would be to get in line in fantasyland to meet the frozen ones.
Hahahaha, so true.

I'll be grabbing that FP+ for Anna & Elsa as soon as I'm able. I just want to take silly photos with Anna, I'm stoked about that. Elsa is cool, I mean I got ears to match her I guess.
My Maleficent ears/horns are the ones I cherish most though :inlove:

Is there any explanation as to why Disney doesn't have any Villains out for M&G ever? The demand is obviously there, and not just from the rabid fan community. I imagine all the face characters make the same amount, just send out a few villains now and then to mix it up. Doesn't require a greater labor cost or building anything. I just can't see the downside.

Mostly speshul snowflakes are to blame.

I'm wondering this as well. It baffles me why they don't send out the Villains more. Especially the more well-known ones.
Gaston is always out but I don't really consider him a Villain.

Hate to blow the magic here but everyone needs to understand that characters are not "sent out" randomly by a benevolent entertainment manager anymore. Bids(character lineups) are generally set and run daily, without fail, for 6 months at a clip. There are some exceptions training and the thing you all call "characterpalooza" but that's minimal and luck comes into play

I guess what I meant to say is that I don't understand why they don't have them out daily, or at least every other day. Or at least just A LOT more frequently than they do. Daily would be good though, daily is great. Are the Villains just not that popular enough? I thought the Evil Queen would at least be.
It shocks me that the Tremaine family is out every day but that we can't have the Evil Queen or Maleficent every day ):
Love the Tremaine's though!

Here's my advice- check to see if any of the Run Disney marathons will be happening around the time of your trip. That's usually when they have the "surprise" meets at Epcot, and it should give you an idea of who might be out.

We will be there during Marathon Weekend. January 8-13th is when we are going. So I hope this means that they will have some special characters wandering around for that then. I'll definitely keep Epcot in mind for that!

Has anyone ever met the transformed Evil Queen from Snow White? I know she's in Fantasmic, but I don't think I've ever seen her walking (or limping) around.

You just received some terrible advice from someone who has no clue. Are you doing races?
