Was the Disney movie "Meet the Deedles" made to serve as a pilot for an unmade DiC cartoon, since they were the ones who produced the movie? From what I think, there are many elements of the movie that would serve for a Deedles cartoon, like the presence of the wild/exotic animals in Yellowstone, the intention of the film's villain to create "New Faithful", and the ending where Yellowstone becomes a lake with waves.
