Is there a meal or item from a WDW restaurant that you liked but is no longer on the menu?

Here's mine:
The Lasagna Meal at Picabu (Dophin),
Chicken Pot Pie at Columbia Harbor House (Magic Kingdom)

Yes, there was a shrimp fettuccine in a sun dried tomato cream sauce at the Coral Reef, that I was totally blown away by back in 2007. No longer on the menu.
It was so huge that I saved some of it in our resort fridge for the next day. Ultimately, it was sooo darn delicious, I ended up eating the rest of it for breakfast the next morning…!!!!! :hungry::hilarious:

Way back when the Garden Grill was the Good Turn Restaurant they had a seafood pizza --it was so good. Unfortunately it is now a character restaurant and that pizza is long gone

So many. The croque monsieur sandwich with salad at Chefs de France for lunch. The burger for lunch at Brown Derby. I miss "lighter" lunch menus overall. The burger at Crew's Cup lounge. Flying Fish used to have this appetizer with ahi tuna and compressed watermelon (sounds weird but very delicious). Brown Derby used to do this corn soup every spring that I would make a special trip for (I'm in driving distance). The entire brunch at California Grill but specifically there was a chicken and waffles entree that was amazing. Gosh, now I'm hungry! 🤣

Monte Cristos from Columbia Harbor House (this was back in the late 1980's)
Roast Beef mac & cheese and BBQ chicken mac and cheese from Friar's Nook
And if it really is gone the Citrus Swirl

Restaurant O'saurus used to have fried shrimp. I'm pretty sure it and Columbia Harbor House were the only places on property that did.

Also, Rose and Crown used to have some kind of salmon dish. Don't remember what it was exactly, but it was delicious.

A bunch

Off the top of my head...

The citrus salad at 'Ohana with mandarin oranges
Niçoise salad at Be Our Guest- as a QS lunch!
The Mickey pasta mac and cheese they used to serve in multiple locations
The veggie lasagna they used to serve in the Land-before the remodel
The tuna salad they used to serve in the land (are you sensing a theme? This was similar to the BOG salad in that it was not canned tuna, but pink seared tuna served over a bed of greens)
The amazing desserts they used to have at Kona Cafe pre-DDP, plus the entrees they had back then, like the stir-fry noodles.
The buffet they used to serve at 1900 Park Fare about 10 years ago.
The quality of the buffet at Boma when it was new, like the spinach-quinoa salad.

Most of all, the Nestle Toll House cookies on Main Street!

I miss the smell of warm cookies every visit. When people talk about WDW going downhill, this always comes to mind. Back then WDW coffee was lousy, so I can see why they added Starbucks' coffee, but losing both the Toll House Cookies AND the chocolate chunk cookies/ice cream sandwiches they used to serve at Sleep Hollow is a big loss.

I should add, many vintage WDW recipes- or at least similar recipes - are available in the recipe thread at the top of the WDW dining section of the forum, but many of the recipes use a shocking amount of butter/cream/cheese.

We make the Boma squash soup, but cut way back on the calorie-busters, and it still tastes great. It is a rather forgiving recipe, in that it also tastes great if you don't add all the spices. For a quick dinner, we sub canned pumpkin. Also, I don't think we have ever roasted the squash, we steam/simmer it instead. (covered pot with 1/2inch water). Probably not as good as roasted, but faster and easier. Sweet potato/yams also great option. Delicious this time of year.
