Trip Report May isn't supposed to be this hot (and crowded)...

Hello friends and welcome to my May 2015 Trip Report!
I've been back from my favorite place on the planet for a little under 2 weeks now, so I figured it was time to go ahead a start my trip report. I already miss Walt Disney World so much, so hopefully I can relive it as I try to tell you all about it.
I have to warn you though, this TR may take a while for me to write. Between work and my 2 year old, I don't have a ton of free time, so please bare with me...

We pretty much stuck to our plan, but as you all know, a Disney vacation can and will change at any moment.

If you took the time to look over my PTR, you know that the usual cast of characters were present on this trip - Me, Brittany, Grant, Scott, Pam and Brooke. This time, we decided to stay at Fort Wilderness Campground again because it is SO much cheaper than a resort and we knew most of our time would be spent in the parks.
Our dates were Monday May 11 through Sunday May 17. Sunday May 10 and Monday May 18 were travel days. We live in North Carolina about 30-45 minutes north of Charlotte.

Ok, enough of the chitter chatter, let's get to it!

Sunday May 10

We started out the day by getting up at the crack of dawn and driving up to Boone, NC to attend Brooke's graduation from Appalachian State University! Yay! Congrats, Brooke! Now hug a few poeple, take about 6 pictures and stuff that cap and gown in the car - we're going to DISNEY WORLD!!!!
We actually made better time than I thought. The graduation started at 12:00pm and we were out of there by 2:30 heading back down the mountain and ready to embark on the first leg of our trek to central Florida!
After stopping for gas and a bite to eat, we arrived at our stopping place for the night... the South Savannah KOA. It was a very nice, neat and clean campground and we would definitely stay there again. We pulled in at just about 10:00pm and crashed for the night. Whew, what a long day of driving, but it was much better than trying to drive the entire way from NC to WDW in one day. This split the drive up into two four and a half hour segments, so it was not bad at all.
Well, time to go to sleep... We've got another little drive ahead of us in the morning and we should be on Disney property by lunch!

Next installment: Monday May 11 ...
