May Hours

I was looking at the May hours for our trip and they are a little depressing. Do they base the times on level of expected attendance\resort bookings? Especially since they waited so long to post park hours. I guess they are expecting the attendance to be low. I also noticed that when we are there from the 4-11th there is no spectromagic parade times. Is this also because of low attendance? Im a little depressed since Ive waited so long to go. Well maybe its a good thing and we will be able to get on rides with minimal lines.

look down a few post, i'm almost sure that there will be spectromagic. i've checked all over and all the sites have different times. someone posted something on this a days ago.

it is because it is gonna be pretty empty and Gradnite is in May.

do you know what night the are having grad night?

I don't know, it is not just one day either. I think it is spread out several days through 2 weeks. I am sure you can call and ask what the Gradnite dates are, 407-WDW-DISNEY.

With Grad night does that mean that the parks closed all day for Grads or only after 6:00PM.

grad night is kind of like E-ride nights, it just closes early, you would notice, it would just say something like 6pm, then they would stay there

For Grad nite actually they close the park completely for a few hours and they revamp it making look real cool for grads. They also restock all the stores with stuff for grads. No guests are in there during the change. They later open the gates around 8 for grads that come on buses only. That is the way it was when I had gradnite, don't know if it's changed. Thing I do know is it is open for grads only till about 5 am.

I went with my school two months before graduation, it was a lot of fun. I think all Florida High schools attend this thing. I know when I went it was packed, it took about 2 hours to get through the gate at the TTC. It is impossible for you to go unless you go as a chaperone with the school. SORRY!

According to the Disney web site, Spectromagic is showing on May 4th at 9PM followed by Fantasy in Sky at 10PM. So you can see it if you go to MK on your first day there.

I am planning on seeing it that night so they better have it.

I called WDW a few weeks ago and they also said the hours for May 4th were 9AM - 10PM.

I also noticed that they list the hours for May 11th as 9:00 PM - 9:20 PM. Very odd hours, hardly worth the admission price. :lol:
