An interesting list... Most were reminders, but there were a few new ones. Either way, never gets old. Just goes to show how much is really going on in our favorite parks... The history, the hidden references, the depths of details...

It is interesting how the same not quite true facts always seem to be repeated in these lists.

1. Florida was not chosen right away. The St. Louis project was developed before Florida was chosen as a location.
4. The announcement was not right after the land was purchased.
5. The land was purchased to support EPCOT and Walt was not involved in planning the Magic Kingdom.
7. Roy oversaw not just the construction of Phase 1, but also its design.
14. Walt was dead before Cinderella Castle was designed, so the room inside would not have been for him.
21. There is now a Grey Stuff cupcake because The Grey Stuff was supposed to be a special treat, not a secret item for all to order.
37. The Mark Twain is at Disneyland.
54. The Tomorrowland palms have not folded in many years.
55. Walt Disney World was this size when it opened, but it is now smaller due to land sales such as Celebration, Shades of Green and other smaller sales.
65. While similar to EPCOT, the model on display on the PeopleMover is of Progress City. What exists today is only a fraction of the model, originally on display at the Disneyland post-show of the Carousel of Progress.
73. The show building for the Rhine River Cruise was not constructed. Only the load/unload would have been incorporated into what was built.
95. This really is not unusual. Any tall structure in Florida is going to be struck by lightning many times during its life.

The one poignant statement was about the bathroom doors in the AK. I never realized that the AK bathrooms actually have doors. Hmm...is it really there for safety?
