May Day, May Day!

OK, I know several others are in the same situation as myself. There are still no May Hours posted and I can not wait any longer to plan my trip. I need to set up PS arrangements and I need to decide what days to visit what parks.

So here are some questions:

1. How will the Reservation cast members know if I can set a PS up for a certain time without hours to go on?

2. Are there specific days that certain parks just stay open later than other days (in general)?

3. What's the longest Disney has gone out without posting hours? If I wait a few more days should May Hours be up or is it possible they will wing it on through the summer?

4. If I wait til I arrive at Disney to set up PS arrangements have I waited too long?

5. Are the hours for EPCOT basically the same every day?

Meega, nala kwishta!
I can answer some of those questions, but my answers come from my experiance to the lesser hours in the October timeframe.

1. They have a time list on there system that tells them how late a restaurant is taking reservations. When I book Liberty Tree Tavern last year, the park was open till 6PM that day, and they put in a 6:10PM reservation. The restaurant was takingin reservation up until 6:30pm. Disney told me that it different with each park and place to eat but they know how late they can book them. I also asked if the hours were shortened what would happen, they said I'd get a call from Disney to re-schedual.

2. Dunno...
3. Dunno...

4. Depends on the place you want to eat. Castle for breakfast, yep...Garden Grill, nope you can usally walk up. Each place is different. Most you can walk up and wait for an opening. The high end places I would get a PS for sure, but others are not so difficult.

5. Future world seems to be changing it hours around lately, but I don't ever remember worldshowcase ever closing before 9pm.

Hope that helped a bit...

Since you asked about Epcot I'm guessing you're interested in the world showcase restaurants or the Coral Reef.

They keep world showcase open until the fireworks at 9pm. But as recently as October all the restaruants in the World Showcase were taking PS times until 9:30.

Coral Reef was taking PS times at least until 9pm (we had one for 9pm) even though Future World closed at 7pm at that time. We walked towards the restaurant and there was a cast member blocking the walkway to the Living Seas. She politely told us that Living Seas was closed for the day. We told her we had a PS at Coral Reef, and she let us through, and told us to enjoy our dinner with that great big Disney smile.
