May attendance/events

I've asked this before, but I'm looking for some more feedback. I am going in May, 2004 for two weeks.

1) Which weeks in May are best? I'm torn between the first/second weeks and the second/third weeks. I am leaning toward the first/second weeks since I suspect the end of May has larger crowds (I think Florida schools let out in May) and it looks like you get more rain as you move closer to June.

2) Does anyone know if Star Wars weekend is happening next May? Was it all four weekends last May? If not, which ones?

3) How often do the fireworks and parades go on in May?

Thanks.

I went from the 20th to 24th last year. Star Wars weekend was going on. it was either the 2nd or last weekend of the event. Crowds weren't bad at all. Longest I ever had to wait for anything was maybe 30 minutes. Universal was even less crowded. I walked on all the rides for most of the day.

As far as I know, the Star Wars weekends are usually always around that time, but I could be wrong.

I have been 6 times in the fisrt two weeks of May and I love it. The crowds are not to huge and you can see everything with not a lot of waiting except at the MK on Saturdays and each parks Magic Morning day. The weather can be hot and humid but I have had hardly any rain. Once there was none. All of the rainstorms have been very short maybe impacting part of the rides for half an hour to forty minutes. In general the Fireworks and SpectroMagic Parade is only on week ends in May though there was the year of the 25th where they were every every night.
Epcot also has the flower and garden festival which is beautiful. You don't have to go to any of the exhibits there are more flowers all around the park than the rest of the year.

Heading for the great escape.
May is our favourite time to go. Crowds are large enough to lend atmosphere but not so large as to make for long wait times. Star wars events have added to our visits as has the Flower festival @ Epcot. The weather is certainly more stable than August. If it wasnt for the stupid new laws about holidays during school time wed be visiting at that time too.
