Hi, Mousketeers! Here's another co-post from tk421-sw and thimblekisses. We nipped up to MK yeterday afternoon, May 7th. Here is a brief update of what we saw!
As we passed the entrance to MGM, we noticed the new panel for Lights, Motors, Action! Does anyone remember what picture used to be in this panel? I can't recall, now that I see this one. It's the left-most panel.
One of the monorails is under rehab. During this time, they tell guests that they have to take the ferry into MK, and that the monorail is only for guests leaving the MK. Here's a little secret: The monorail going to the resorts STILL GOES TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM. So yes, you can still ride it, but they just won't tell you that so there isn't a mass backup. So we took the monorail!
Ugh! Talk about lack of monorail etiquette. See the family below. See husband, see wife, see two small boys. The man's face has been blurred, because we believe him to be a CM, since he got out and talked on the phone at the control podium when we stopped at the Polynesian. They got in the monorail and the kids played limbo and swung under the center support bar. Then, the father gave them permission to leap over the bench to the other side of the monorail car) narrowly missing two nice ladies, and ran and leaped up to the back of the bench. They rode the rest of the way casually this way, leaning up against the wall. Notice how both parents think this is just fine. Animals, I tell you, animals. Even more annoying than that, there is new Stitch audio on the monorails. He says more, something to the effect of "Are we there yet? When will we be there? When? When? When? When? Now? Are we there yet?" etc. AND every time Stitch said anything, this anonymous man in white hat repeated it, loudly, SEVERAL TIMES! Good grief! We were beginning to wish we had taken the ferry, after all.
Here is the stage where America's funniest videos will be filmed later this week.
As you can see, the episode will be aired May 13th.
Okay. I have my questions about this. Last week at Grad Nite, one of the lost boys in Peter Pan's Flight had fallen over backwards somehow, so we tried to take a picture in time to see if he had been fixed. Well, he had, but then we noticed something else. What the heck is up with this NOOSE? What is going on here? And why is that one facing the other way with a big ominous shadow? I honestly never noticed this before. Can anyone explain that to me? What is this, Neverland Lord of the Flies?
I'm VERY familiar with several different versions of Peter Pan (hence the thimblekisses) but I don't remember anything about a noose, ever. Thoughts?
More to come, stay tuned!
