May 25- June 1: Kids and Crowds

I'm very excited that the DW and I are thinking of coming to WDW during the last week of May. I have a couple of unrelated questions, but I'll try to crowd them in this thread.

1. How are the crowds this time of year?

2. How will a 17 month old fair?

Thanks! :D

We have gone the last week of May for several years now. I have a 17 year old autistic son who has done well in the parks. But I cannot say anything about bringing a 17 month old. Unfortunately, I can report that crowds are unpredictable because that week is Memorial Week. Although the crowds are there, we still enjoy going to Disney! Make wonderful memories and take it one day at a time.

I have been the last week of May a couple of times. It can get a little crowded, but I have never felt like I missed out on anything because of them. I personally don't find Memorial Day, or week to have that much affect. I have been on trips that span the week before and the week after and didn't notice much difference. I will say that it will be hot. That would be my biggest concern for the 17 month old. Thankfully, there are many places to duck out of the sun for awhile. If you would like to know more about the end of May, let me know.

It will be crowded during the Memorial day weekend, but crowds show be manageable after that as schools in the north aren't out till mid June. Weather should be hot but not too over bearing.

Weather is usually warm but nothing a 17-month old can't handle. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. We took our 7-month olds last August and they did well. Avoid Star Wars Weekends.
