Ok, heres the whole trip. First of all, I have to mention our little itty bitty plane, (Canadair Regional Jet) lol! It was so small, we had to walk down the 3 steps out of the plane, and into the parking lot of the airport before going inside, lol! They didnt have a ramp that reached that low. Then the next plane we had was big, (777). Using the Magical Express was really easy and convenient. It took us about an hour to get from the airport to the resort and check in. This was the first time we took our son, and we wanted everthing to be perfect so we let him pick the resort and the restaurants. We stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort, in Trinadad North. Ok, now for this, I have a couple of complaints. This is the second time we stayed here. The first time was last year, without our son. We requested a smoking room and a king size bed (didnt get either). This time we requested either Martinique or Barbados, smoking room (didnt get either). We also paid for a perferred room both times and didnt get it the second time. Also mousekeeping really did a bad job. They didnt make any towel animals, and left old towels and wash clothes for 2 days. I think all they did was remake the beds. But anyways, on with the parks!
First day:
We went to Epcot. . We decided to eat at the land, then go on the rides. I have to mention this because I know those of you going soon want to know about the wait times. The parks were soooo crowded, but heres the odd thing, theres were very little wait times for the rides. We stayed at Epcot all day the first day, and the longest wait time we saw was for Test Track, 20 minutes. We went on it, and only waited 10 minutes. Mission Space had a 5 minute wait, Ellen's Universe of Energy had a 5 minute wait, etc. We ate at the Coral Reef for dinner. It was good, but not our favorite restaurant.
Great atmosphere, good food. The bill came to $220.00 for 3 of us, but we got appetizers, desserts and drinks. We finished the night with illuminations, absolutely beautiful!!!! Have to mention Soarin, best ride ever! Well, along with about 10 other rides, lol. It really feels like you a parasailing.
Second day:
Animal Kingdom in the morning, MGM in the afternoon.
Same with this park, it was really crowded, but very little wait times. My son said I was too chicken for the tower of terror, so I made him a deal. I would go on ToT if he went on dinosaur. He did, but he didnt know they were going to take a picture, he looked so scared, lol! He denied being scared, but wouldnt go back on the ride, hehe. We rode everything but Kali River Rapids, then headed on over to MGM by 2:00. We had dinner at the Sci-Fi diner, really cool place, but still not my favorite.
We went on the ToT, walked right on with no wait 2x in a row. By the way, that was the first time i went on that ride, it was awesome!! And what great effects!
Third day:
We stayed at Magic Kingdom all day, and rode every ride at least 2x, some of them more. It was odd, because at this park, the longest wait times were for most of the rides in FantasyLand, like Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Its A Small World, at 40 minutes. All the other rides like Pirates Of The Carribean had a 5-10 minute wait. Ok, for dinner we ate at Ohana. My favorite restaurant!!!! :sohappy: The service was so good, the food was great. For anyone thinking about eating at this restaurant, give it a try, you wont be dissapointed.
Fourth and Fifth:
We went from park to park, just going back to our favorite rides, shopped at Downtown Disney, pretty much whatever we all felt like doing. We saw the new Lights, Motor, Action. This is a must see! Its not really my type of show, but you just have to see all the stunts they do, there is defintely a reason they brought this show over from Disney Paris!
The weather was also terrific, not a drop of rain, although they said it was suppose to. Hopefully this helps for anyone leaving soon. :animwink:
