I noticed Max had a scheduled meet and greet at hollywood studios today? Is this going to be a regular thing or is it just a one of?

This isn't going to be a regular thing. DHS has done this is in the past with Lilo on rare occasions as well, although I have no idea why. The only place to find Max at WDW is Character Palooza from time to time.

I'm hoping they'll let him live on somehow, even if it means selling him to a private collector.
Or perhaps they will sneak him into Star Wars/Lucas land as an easter egg, just as they did in the Magic Kingdom.

They scheduled too many Friends of characters this week like they did last week. Max is an extra for that height range.

They schedule the same number of people every day, every week. This just means everybody showed up to work.

This is true, in a round about way. They regularly schedule an extra just in case someone doesn't show up or calls in sick. Basically what it comes down to is It's easy to drop Max from the lineup but dropping a chipmunk can't happen. I was talking with Max's handler the other day about it at studios as I originally thought it was a friend in training and I was corrected.
