So one of the things that intrigued me watching Eisner on Larry King the other night is when he mentioned the Mary Poppins musical Disney was doing with Cameron Mackintosh.
Curious, I discovered they have an official site up already, and you can hear snippets from the show. There's a brief rendition of supercalifragalisticexpealadocious and it's an ingenous version of the tune. From the little I've heard, it sounds like they're going to put a lot more focus on the melancholy elements in Mary Poppins, which is a great thing. I've always found MP to be kind of bittersweet.
But I am curious as to how they're going to handle the whole animated day at the races and tea with the penguins scenes from the film.
