Why isn't this movie out on Blu Ray yet? Maybe they're waiting until next year, for the 50th anniversary?

I probably answered my own question - it'll probably come out next year with the anniversary...

Oh I can't belive it is going to be 50. Oh that will make an easy birthday present for my dh. He seems to need to upgrade everything to bluray.

Nothing's for sure until a release date, and even then plans can change between then and when it actually reaches store shelves. However, the 50th anniversary in 2014 sounds like the most likely time frame.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to have the blu-ray coincide with a home video release of "Saving Mr. Banks". Timing seems about right- Spring of 2014.
