but opening this Friday is a new exhibit at the Disney Gallery- The Art of Mary Blair celebrating 45 years of it's a small world

While I still wish The Disney Gallery was still above Pirates its great to have it back and the exhibits updated on a regular basis. What a great time to be a DLR fan.

The new exhibit opening May 13, 2011 will showcase concept artwork from "it's a small world," along with other concept story board art from such classic Disney films as Cinderella, Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland and various other installations for projects around the world including tile murals for Tomorrowland, Adventure Through Innerspace, Disney's Contemporary Resort and the never realized Western River Ride.

Until today, there has never been an opportunity to showcase the collection that inspired it all. But thanks to Kim Irvine, Dave Golbeck and team, The Disney Gallery will unveil a brand new exhibit May 13 to celebrate the art of Mary Blair and 45 years of this classic Disney attraction
