Disney has announced I Am Groot Season 2 premieres September 6 on Disney+. Season 2 will have 5 new shorts.

I thought he was kind of cute, in a very minor character sort of way, on the musical elevator drop ride I rather enjoy at DCA.

But he has something more to say than "I am Groot"? There's a character development and plotline arc that he uses to tell a story?

And if so, why?

These are very short, mostly silent (on dialogue) animated pieces. Think more Mr. Bean than typical animated Mickey Mouse short. Troublemaker gets into trouble in quick situations.
