Marvel Merchandise

Since the acquisition of Marvel, has there been an addition of Marvel merchandise to the parks? Last time I was there (Dec 2010) I didn't notice any, but I also wasn't looking for it. Anyone know if I'll be able to get a Wolverine or Marvel logo pin?

You can pretty much find the same generic Marvel merch that you see from the toy & department stores being sold in the parks. As for pins..I don't think they have gone too far with it as of yet...I would think you might have a better shot at Marvel Superhero Island at IoA since it's been there longer than the acquisition.

Oh well, guess I'll have to talk my parents into a day trip over to IoA on our next trip. Thanks for the info.

Basically almost everything Marvel they sell at IOA can be found at your local Comic Book Store or can be ordered by them. There are a few things that can only be found at IOA, but not a lot. They do have a lot of different Marvel Pins available at Universal.

I'm actually kind of surprised at the lack of Marvel-related pins so far, considering that pins are usually the "entry level" for Disney merchandise (eg, holidays and characters being featured on pins, and not much else). I wonder if it's an indication that Disney doesn't really want to merge Marvel into the mainstream Disney brand to the extent we previously predicted, considering it's been a few years now since the acquisition.

I was working as a Christmas temp at Disney Store in Belfast and there was an awful lot of marvel merchandise (probably half of toys for boys was marvel).
I was at WDW in October and only seen marvel merchandise in DTD that i can rememeber
