So I got to thinking about the whole Universal vs Disney/Marvel and the East of the Mississippi River clause...What if Disney were to build a Midwestern regional resort/park.

Here's the start of my idea:
Resort Hotel heavily themed to something (not sure it has to be "Marvel" but Disney quality)
Indoor amusement/theme park themed to Marvel Universe (think DisneyQuest but with more "real" attractions) Maybe a coaster or something like that
Waterpark indoor/outdoor

I really think Regional entertainment is something Disney needs to expand...and not just a Disney quest in downtown chicago...make it a destination...like the Dells water parks.

There are a ton of us snow dwellers up here who would love a place to do long weekends and stuff and still get the Disney experience.

What do you think? I might try to 3D model some concept art.

concept is stellar...i would start with the water-park portion...(more return on investment in the northeast if indoors) and do it right could be a hit.
