Yesterday, I acquired a Euro Disney grand opening medallion from a trusted retail location. These pop up from time to time, and are not particularly rare, at least normally. But I had a few months back bought the Tokyo Disney Resort medallion from the same shop, and when I found the Euro Disney when I decided to pay the very modest price for it.
All I saw was the medallion and a bit of the envelope it came in, as it was inside a plastic bit of packaging with a price tag on it. When I opened up the packaging to look at the envelope better, I noticed inside the envelope a letter from WDI thanking imagineers for their work on the project, and it was signed by Marty Sklar and Mickey Steinberg, as shown in the attachments. I was pretty skeptical, so I looked at various comparisons from the era, as well as later in Marty's life, and it does match his signature 100%. It also seems to be live ink, as there are clear impression marks throughout the signature when viewed under a magnifying glass.
My question is, did he ever use an auto-pen or a secretary to sign letters like this? I don't care either way but I'm pretty curious. Some people who would have a better idea than me have said that it is most likely personally signed, but I wondered if anyone here may be a little more sure. Please forgive the terrible image quality.
