Mark Twain Wheelhouse Question

Just watched a little YouTube video from Disney Parks: Every Role a Starring Role, and this time they pointed out a young lady operating the Mark Twain at Disneyland. What got my attention was that she mentioned that she takes a family up to the wheelhouse every time they go around the Rivers of America. Anybody know how this process works? Do you just ask? Or is it a random choosing?

You just ask. If you want to go to the wheelhouse and drive the boat/sign the guest book, I'd make sure to be first in line for the Mark Twain, whichever time you choose. Tell the captain you're from out of town... That should help you.

Oh man, I was sure you'd remember! Now I'm gonna go crazy until I find this...

UPDATE: I knew I heard it somewhere! It was on Mousetalgia: episode 247. It's a very good primer. I think I'm gonna try this... the kids (me) would get a big kick out this!

I had posted a video of a family steering the Mark Twain on a thread here, months ago, but I knew that wasn't what you were talking about. Sorry!

Is love to see either Sydney or JJ attempt to steer the big Mark Twain. What a sight to behold.;) You should definitely try it.
