Mark Ruffalo has a wish list for a solo Hulk film, and at the top of his list is Hulk vs. Wolverine. Ruffalo was at Tokyo Comic Con doing a panel (per CBR) and talked about a meeting he had with Marvel Studios president and Marvel Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige.

“Kevin Feige just asked me last week if I had any more ideas or stories for the Hulk,” Ruffalo said. “And I said yeah, I think there’s still some stories to tell. And he said, ‘Well why don’t you come in and tell me about them and we’ll see if we can find a place for you in the Marvel universe?’ Hulk vs. Wolverine. I’d like to see that. Hulk vs. Wolverine.”

While the film may just be a dream in Rufflo’s mind at this point, it would be entirely possible. Wolverine and the rest of the X-Men are now under Marvel’s purview thanks to the FOX purchase. And there’s plenty of Hulk vs. Wolverine precedence in the comics, of course. Wolverine’s first appearance was in the pages of Incredible Hulk #181 in 1974, which saw Hulk battle Wolverine — then a Canadian agent — and Wendigo. Logan and Hulk have both teamed up and fought several times in the 45 years since.

I'm not a huge fan of the whole good guy VS good guy storylines. The problem is there are really no stakes in them. You always know, for the most part, that it's only temporary. I had the same issue with civil war. You just knew that everyone would be ok and they would all be friends again by the time infinity war started.

I wouldn't mind if there was a scene dedicated to this, but not a whole movie. I actually think this method is the best way to introduce X-men characters years before the first movie is developed. I'd love to see a scene of Storm in any Black Panther movie. Also if they're done with Captain Marvel before the Xmen movie, it would be a great time to introduce Rouge vs. Marvel. That way they don't have to kill Captain Marvel off just place her in a coma until she's needed again. With careful pre-planning the audience can build up anticipation for the upcoming X-men movie.

Sure they completely made peace in endgame. Because they had no scenes together in infinity war. But by the end of civil war, you 100% knew they would be back on the same team. And that is the point I was making.
