March Tan?

You'll be able to get burnt. The sun is excessively strong here - our UV index is off the charts pretty much all year long. Don't try to tan, be smart, wear sunscreen. I can't tell you how many tourists end up spending their vacation in the ER from 2nd degree burns. Even on cloudy days. Better to play it safe.

I was wondering when I visit Florida in March....Would I be able to get a good tan....???
Even just walking around the parks you'll get a good tan (depending on skin type and hair colour) so sun screen is essential - providing that there's no rain and the sky isn't cloudy.

When it's cloudy it's even more important to wear sunscreen - the harmful rays are still getting through but you don't notice as much because it's not a hot

I got sunburnt on our last day at MK last year.......December 8th. I didn't think I'd need sunscreen then. My face and calves got burnt.

I got a very good sunburn when I was there this past March and that was with wearing sunscreen. I burn easy though....my husband on the other hand got a very nice tan.

For some reason I never get burned or tanned at Disney. I think because I'm only outside for a minute at a time walking between attractions. I do get burned when we go to the waterparks though of course.

Shame shame shame! Don't make me lecture!! :lookaroun

Guess the answer is yes... but don't risk your health like that!! Get a bottle of self tanner, then slather yourself in sunscreen in Florida, and look gorgeous when you're 50. :animwink:

When we go in January I never wear sun block and I am a burner and I usually only get a little color. But as Laura mentioned it is most likely as we go in and out of attractions all day and are really out in the sun very little.

We did however go this month and I did wear sun block (35) and I did burn anyway.

To be safe wear it is as it is not worth ruining your trip or worse yet getting skin cancer down the road. Even tanning is bad so I think we should all just try to maintain whatever color we were each given. It is not worth risk...
