I wasn't sure where else to post this!
I was just wondering how many people here have ever been to Walt's hometown of Marceline, MO. I know most of you wouldn't travel very far to see this compared to going to WDW, but to fellow midwesterners who live close by, have any of you drove by or checked anything out here?
I had the pleasure of stopping in Marceline recently during a college visit to Kansas City and St. Louis. I just remembered while we were leaving that Marceline must have been close by, and without any knowledge of what the town had to offer "Walt-wise", we drove just a few miles off course to take a look.
Me being a big Walt fan, this was a real highlight for me! There are quite a few things to see here, including a museum which is in the process of being revamped. Although much of the walls and entire upstairs are being redone, they have a lot of Walt memorabilia in the museum an a lot of interesting facts about Walt's relationship with his hometown. If you ever have the chance to stop by here, you should take at least an hour or two to check the place out!
