Marathon Weekend - Anyone wear headphones?

I know that people definitely did wear headphones and listen to an Ipod or something. My question is though; did you still get a certificate, medal, photos and what not?

I read online that since they do not allow headphones; they're trying to crack down on and they disqaulified people that wore headphones (via the in-race photos). I'm not going to be actually like competing, just running in it for my own personal reasons; but I couldn't imagine running close to 2 hours without listening to music. (half marathon; definitely not running a full in close to 2 hours)

So, anyone actually listen to music and have any problems or get any type of "disqualification" notice or anything?

Also, I apologize if this question does not belong here; I didn't really know where to put it. I tried searching for "Marathon headphones" or "marathon ipod" or any combination of that and got nothing. So; just looking for a quick and simple answer.

Thanks.

I wore headphones during the marathon this January and did not have any problems, lots of people were wearing them and it didn't seem to be an issue.

Same here - I wouldn't worry about it, unless you thought you might be competing to win the race (which I most certainly am not :animwink:).

Thanks guys!

No definitely. I guess I just didn't want to wear headphones and then have them not give me any in-race pictures. Since you get the medals there, I probably wouldn't have to worry about that, and the certificate isn't the biggest thing in the world (although... I would like to frame it :o)

Just wanted to be sure... no chance I could run that long with no music...

thanks!!!
