Many Rides Temporarily Closed Today

What's with the many rides temporarily closed today? I sometimes browse the Disney app from home to see how long wait times are for some of the more popular attractions. I usually see one or two in the list that say Temporarily Closed but when I looked just now there were 13 closed. Did Disney not have enough cast members show up for work today to run everything?

When a load close down the first thing to look at is whether they have outdoor components. If the answer's yes, then it's nearly always thunderstorm related.
