Seems good. I've seen many tripods this size claiming they can support "entry-level DSLRs" but they all fall short. Hopefully this one is a high enough quality that it actually would.

says it holds a max 1.4 lbs... I am so used to my big cameras I dont even know what little guys like the 5200 weigh

I had a ball head ruined by a Japanese photog who used my tripod at KSC once. Put a 400/2.8 on a mini ball head. I was off grabbing coffee at the moment

It was on a really good tripod. OF COURSE the ball head is screwed up ever since
