ComicCon has announced the sequel to this year's summer hit, Man Of Steel. The 2nd installment will include Superman facing off against Batman...the first time these two heroes have met in a major film.

Between this news, the Loki appearance, the Electro reveal for Amazing Spider-Man 2, and many other announcements...I hope the people behind August's D23 Expo are taking notes on how to ignite an audience and reveal shocking surprises. One can at least hope.

I'm most excited about Amazing Spiderman 2. I loved the first one. Besides Incredibles, it was my first superhero film.

Looks like DC is trying counter Marvel in an already saturated superhero movie market. Anyway, I didn't see Man of Steel but opinion was so divided but it did well financially so there is some form of justification for a sequel. The biggest question is, who will be Batman? Bale isn't coming back so they'll have to cast someone and presumably, won't get so much mockery for his Batman voice like Bale did....

Why am I not as excited about this news as I should be? Probably because of the unknown Batman actor factor. A little because the last Batman was not, I repeat NOT, as good as it should have been. Some because Man of Steel left me feeling the same way, left wanting something better.

Avengers will be good, however if Ultron is the villain, why did they show Thanos after the credits in the first movie?

Too many superhero movies! Well, gotta go. I need to get ready to go see The Wolverine.:geek:

I feel the same way about The Dark Knight Rises. Regarding Superman/Batman though, I think DC-WB is going to try to build up to their Justice League movie much in the same way Marvel built up to The Avengers. Getting the Superman/Batman dynamic out of the way first would be a huge first step for that. They also announced that they are working on The Flash.

Thanos is rumored to be the big bad in The Avengers 3 and he'll also be appearing in next summers Guardians of the Galaxy.

As long as they are pushing for an Infinity Gauntlet type story when they do have Thanos show up.

I hear The Flash will have the quickest running time ever for a feature movie!:D
