Good Morning Everyone. Todays Disney food blog has a great review of the above restaurant for lunch. The reviewer stated he/she lived in Italy for four months and the pizza at Via was as good as anywhere in the USA. Now we really enjoyed our Mezzo Metro last year but I would be interested to read your reviews. How would you compare the pizza at Via Napoli to your favourite at home.State where your from please and where you get it from.;)

I've got an ADR booked for my next visit and we all enjoy pizza so I've got high hopes (that the little ant that is good pizza can move the rubber tree plant that is standard disney pizza fare).

I'll be using the dining plan, so can anyone fill me in on what size of pizza you get? I'm assuming it's the individual size but when it comes to good pizza, I have a rather large appetite.

We paid for ours but I'd guess it would be similar to a family size pizza rule.16" = 2 Credits. But that's just a guess..We really enjoyed our Mezzo and it put other Disney pizzas to shame. The base uses a flour from Italy ( presume zero flour ) and I think that's the most important thing for a pizza.

Mmmm.Just been looking at our DVD at Via Napoli.I had to freeze frame it at the Mezzo Metro..The thin base with the crispy edge, and the pepperoni slices melting into the mozzarella cheese. The thinly sliced mushrooms & onions bubbling nicely,& not forgetting the spicy Italian sausage with red peppers & arugula. For the love of Pizza, why did I start this thread." Oh my Napoli, give it to me.Delicious pizza, from Italy.;)

I've had Via Napoli pizza 3 times. I've gone back and I'll go back again. It is very yummy and far better than the standard Disney pizza. I've never been to Italy so I can't compare it to that, but I don't hold the illusion that every pizza in Italy is superior to any other pizza. There are bad cooks in every country and untalented chefs aren't limited to certain nationalities either.

If you are from New England it reminds me of Papa Gino's pizza but with better quality ingredients and crispier crust.

The restaurant I work in has a wood burning oven that we cook our pizzas in. We also cook chicken nachos and breadwiches in it as well!! The pizza truly is excellent. There is also nother restaurant locally (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) called Monte Cellos. They have a specialty pizza called a Joes and it is my favorite pizza anywhere. The pizza from where I work and Via Napoli are very similar. I am very spoiled!

Fyi ever looking for a great appetizer? The risotto balls are incredible at Via Nopoli!!

We ate at Via Napoli on our last trip in September & we thought that it was good, not great. We are willing to try it again though. We are from the Y-town Ohio area & there are soooooo many great pizza places around here. I would have to say that Gia's pizza is my favorite right now. Before it closed because the owner went missing it was Avalon Gardens. I grew up in a small town in PA. & they also have some great pizza places! My favorite growing up was Plaza Pizza.

Well I was born and raised a touch North of Figgy and Deb (Bergen County, but spent plenty of time in Hudson and Union Counties)

I will put Via Napoli pizza strongly in the middle of the pack. There are some better pizzas I have had - especialy ones from some coal burning oven places - but there are also worse. I would not be upset if served a Via Napoli style pie.

I agree. I grew up in NE PA and since moving away about 20 yrs ago, I still miss that pizza. When you grow up with a certain style of pizza, it's never the same when you move away and can't get what you like. I make trips back home just for pizza!!!! It's funny how people are so territorial about their pizza taste.

Via Napoli is near the top in my opinion. Good ingredients, simple yet flavorful dough and cooked to perfection! Most pizza around me serve a NY style (since I live in NY) in a traditional gas or electric fired pzza oven. There are one or two wood fired pizza ovens around which with good ingredients make a better pizza that the typical gas or electric fired ovens. One of the big keys to making a good pizza is consistant even high heat which wood and coal work best since you are limited to 650F on the gas and electric pizza deck ovens.
