Mall at Millenia

Hi all
Thinking of going to this when I am back in Orlando in September. Can you acess the mall via car from I Drive?

Indirectly. Take I-Drive N to it's end at Oakridge. Right on Oakridge until right after you cross over the turnpike, then turn left on Millenia Blvd.

If you're coming from Disney though, you're much better off taking I-4. It's not too terribly far, but I-Drive is a nightmare, traffic-wise, from at least Sea World up to the mall.

I know, I dont really like driving on the I4 and try to avoid it where possible. Looking at the maps I think it may be easier getting there using Orange Blossom Trail, that way I can hit Florida Mall as well :)

That's not a bad idea. OBT can get busy too, but it beats the heck out of I-Drive. More lanes and not as much to look at, and (at least it seems to me) fewer tourists (no offense), making things move a little better. On the flip side, everyone driving around there there seems to know the area and will expect you to drive as if you do also - so just be careful.

If you're there for actual shopping as opposed to just sightseeing, I'd suggest you also hit the Orlando Premium Outlets (formerly Prime Outlets, on the same land where Belz outlets used to be) at the corner of I-Drive and Oakridge. They have a lot of stores there, and it's been relatively recently redone - as in they leveled the whole thing to the ground and built something completely different. This was in the past ~5 years or so.

Among other things, there's a Disney Character Warehouse there where I've gotten some pretty good deals. Employees there wear Disney cast member badges, so I'm assuming it's Disney owned and operated. For non-locals I'd suggest you spend a few days shopping on property to figure out what you want to buy, then go to the outlet to see what you can get there cheaper, or what you might want instead of what you see on property, and then spend at least another day at WDW picking up the rest of the stuff you wanted.

If you're heading to Millenia via the OBT - Oakridge - Millenia Blvd route it's very short detour, just go straight on Oakridge instead of turning onto Millenia Blvd, go over the Turnpike overpass, and it's right there on your right.

Thanks for the recomendation about Orlando Premium Outlets did go there in 2009, but didnt see the Disney Charcter Warehouse, will have to make a point at looking for that.

Did go to Premium Outlets, just off Vineland Avenue Just before Sea World.

I dont know why but I always thought Festival Bay (That is the one with the discount Universal Store isnt it?) was built on the Beltz site?

Festival Bay is across the street. It was actually built long before Beltz was torn down. For a while there was just about nothing there but the movie theater. I haven't been in there in a very long time, so I'm not sure what's in there now.

A lot of these malls have web sites. Try Google, you can probably see floor plans for most if not all of them showing you exactly what's there and where it is.
