Malfunctioning attraction props...

What attraction show elements/props do you notice malfunctioning on a regular basis?

SPLASH MOUNTAIN - rabbit along the fence, leaping water jets

TEST TRACK - smoke below tires on first incline, crash test (although I believe this was recently replaced with a stationary car)

MISSION SPACE - moving joysticks, seat rattle (I only noticed this effect working once, and it was incredible!)

Any others?

In Splash Moutain there's another one. You know at the end when there welcoming back Brer Rabbit, the Frog that looks like (Mr. Toad), and that bird are always screwed up. There either looking down, or looking up.. It's cause they guests probablly splash em..with water.

Test Track crash sequence was replaced years ago. It only seemed to be there when the attraction first opened.

I can only assume it broke down too often and was costly to fix all the time. That would be the bulk of the reasons why things are removed are not replaced on an attraction.

At least the crash "sound" is still there

Can't forget this one-

In The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, any part of S.I.R., even his eyes, weren't be lit near the attraction's final days.

Man, I forgot about that one. It was like screwed every time I went on the ride for like 3 years.

My favorite one was in Ellen's Energy Adventure. I was trying to figure out what she was swinging at the end of her stick, and I realized it was her hand. It's a shame they fixed it, that was the most entertaining part!

The father's eyes in Carousel of Progress...last time I went on it, in the 2nd scene, his eyes were all rolled back in his head. He looked like his lemonade may have had a little somethin somethin slipped into it. :lookaroun

As mentioned earlier, the crash test in Test Track never works- the car always just sat there while you heard the crashing sound. Then they started playing the crashing sound before you turn the corner..... then you see the crashed car. The red car was very recently replaced with a white SUV that still just sits there.:dazzle:

Incorrect, it WAS in effect for the first few years and has not been ever since though.

Does the pterodactyl (computer: (beep) "Pterodactyl", Dr. Seeker: "Incoming!") in Dinosaur ever work? Between 1998 and 2001 I have been on the ride dozens of times, but I only witnessed the pterodactyl working one time.

no, the pterodactyl swooping effect was disabled. i think it was part of the countdown to extinction > dinosaur rehab. i could be wrong though, thats just what i have heard.

um, i dont think she was saying that it literally 'never' worked. she was saying that it malfunctioned a lot, and was too diggicult to maintain.
