Hi! I'm making Disney tee-shirts (by computer transfers) for our upcoming trip to Disney World. I was wondering if anyone knew of where to get some good Disney Graphics (like any web sites) for our shirts.

You have to be carful about Disney they may not like that.
A shirt you make can't have Disney graphic on it but iam
not sure.

At Office Max or Depot they actually have DIsney computer iron on transfer packs. It comes with a disc of Graphics to use and the graphics all have the trademark on them when you print them so that you can't resell them. You can make them for personal use only.

I've made t-shirts for my boys the last two years we've been down. I have used scans from some Disney books I own, images from commercial software programs, and some images from the internet. All of the images I got off of the internet were not Disney: they were some movie still shots for some other theme parks we were going to visit. I decided the Disney clipart on the internet does not enlarge well for my needs.

Anytime a CM noticed one of my boy's t-shirts, they always made a favorable comment. No one at WDW seemed to mind that I hand made some Disney themed t-shirts so that my kids could show off their love for Disney.

One software that has quite a bit of images is Disney Print Creations, put out by Sierra. I think it cost around $40. By the way, the box may say 6,000+ images, but they take color images, then do them in black & white, then do them in shade, then do them in outline, then do them in silhouette, then do them in pastels....you get the idea. But it's still a pretty great collection of Disney graphics.

Whatever you decide to use, have fun!:)

I made two Epcot shirts for my last trip (one of Horizons, and one of all the "old" Epcot rides), and CM's said only good things to me. They liked my shirts. :) I wouldn't worry about it.

I didn't use any clipart. I just downloaded the "Prototype" font with the Epcot symbols and used that to create my graphics. But if you don't want Epcot shirts I guess that isn't very helpful. :lookaroun

Get the Disney Mickey & Friends print artist, by Disney Interactive. It's pretty good, lots of graphics and project options and not expensive.

Has anyone any tips on the type of Tshirt to use? I have made a few in the past - not Disney yet, but Darius ones - but the transfer doesn't wash very well (actually - doesn't really wash at all to be honest!)

Prewash the shirts with vinegar. Make sure they are preshrunk. The vinegar helps keep the ink from the printer stay on the shirt. Make sure you follow the directions in your pack of transfers exactly the way they say.

I've used several brands of transfer sheets, and they all say the same thing in the instructions - they recommend 50/50 instead of 100% cotton t-shirts. Follow all of the washing instructions carefully. The first ones I did bled when they got wet, because I didn't follow the washing instructions.

Washing with vinegar? How much vinegar would you use on the t-shirts?

By the way thanks for all the help, EPCOT shirts sound neat.

depends on how many shirts you are washing at a time. If you are doing a full load a cup will do. Make sure you do not use any fabric softener when washing before you do the transfers. Fabric softener will make the shirt harder to transfer on to. If you are just washing one or two shirts, do a small load with 1/4 cup of white vinegar.

I don't think Disney would care if you made shirts yourself. You might get compliments the whole day. Let us see the finishing touches if you have a scanner.

I made 11 different original shirts using several different logos and, during our visit, spread them amongst the 4 members of our group. I wore one everyday. If you click on the link in my signature labeled "Disney T-Shirts" you can see them all. I was hassled by no one, and got several compliments on them, not only from guests, but also from CM's. Especially the monorail one.;)

Have fun in DIsney. I'll be thinking of you while I am in Wisconsin. I go to WI for the weekend of the 4th of July for a wedding and the following weekend I leave for Disney.
