Making Dining Reservations Using MDE

I'm new to making ADRs so far in advance (i.e. 180 days). Our trip starts June 2, 2018 and according to the countdown calendar, we should be at 180 days Dec. 4. But I swore I thought I read if you were staying on property, you could start making ADRs at 180 days + 10 days, which should be today, 11/25. Is this incorrect? If not, can you not make the 190 day ADRs online? TIA!

It’s at 180 days.

If you aren’t staying on property you have to make reservations for each day of your vacation 180 days ahead of time.

If you are on property you get to make reservations for the first 10 days of your vacation 180 days from the first day of the trip. 180 +10.

So, on December 4th you should be able to make reservations for June 2-12, instead of just June 2.

Tomorrow is my first day to reserve Disney Dining. I think it's changed since my last trip...what time in the morning can I start making online reservations?

I just checked in on MDE to make dining reservations. It says we're 179 days out yet the calendar will only go to the end of May, 2018--we need June 2-12. Can I not make reservations online at this point and have to call?

Weird...well, online reservations open at 6am EST, so I would check in the morning and if it still isn't working try making them by phone (phone reservations open at 7am). The app and website are notoriously glitchy. Also, make sure you're signed in because if your trip starts on the 2nd, you should be able to make reservations for the full length of your trip as long as you're staying at a Disney resort.

I reloaded the app but this was the darn website. We're staying at Saratoga Springs (does renting points affect it? We have our reservation all linked up on the MDE and are paid in full). If I can't do it in the morning, I'll try giving them a call. Thanks! :)

Thanks everyone who helped problem-solve my 180-day reservation issues. The app was showing me the correct dates but wouldn't finish making the reservations (after going through all the steps):banghead:. So I switched back to the website while on hold with WDW and low and behold, it started working!!! ARGH! I swear, makes me feel so inadequate half the time and then when I call, it "magically" is working again!! Oh well, started to get those dining plans made! Although, find it odd that Yak & Yeti apparently doesn't seat a party of 7:eek:. Also, if one of our party decides at the last second they are not going, do they penalize you if only 6 of you check in and not the full party of 7?

They won't penalize you - they just care that you show up.

Good to know; DS's friend, who is supposed to go with us, has yet to give us a firm yay/nay as to whether or not he's going (would not be surprised if he doesn't go, but if I didn't include him in the ADRs, he'd be sure to come then when it'd be too late to add him ). Oy, teenagers!!
