Making Dining Reservation Problems

Hi all - we're less than 180 days out (yeah!) and trying to make dining reservations for Chef Mickey's for Feb 27th '09. Just called WDW-DINE and the representative said they are currently upgrading their systems and currently can't book the full 180 days ahead. The latest date right now for bookings is Feb 22nd. Which according to him is an improvement because a few days ago they could only book to Jan. 15th. He said to call back during the next few weeks and we should be able to book. Although someone in the department told them this problem could persist until November!!

So to my question, is their an alternate way to make advanced dining reservations? Say email, or is there a toll-free number that will get us to dining reservations? I'd rather not rack up long distance charges only to find we still can't book. But I need the reservations as it will be my three year old's first trip. Thanks.

Yeah thanks, just saw it. I'll have to call back, according to his post Chef Mickey's is an exception to the 90 day limit and I should be able to book 180 days ahead. Must have gotten a newbie rep or something that didn't know there was an exception for that restaurant.

i've talked to an inexperienced agent before also, she didn't believe me when i told her i could book reservations 190 days out when i stay on property. i finally had to tell her to go ask her supervisor, that convinced her.
