Sorry if this has been asked already, I took a quick look around and didn't see it.

Since the "official word" now seems to be that at resort check-in, as a "surprise perk" we will be told that we can call in to make a BOG FP for lunch during our stay......

My question is......has anyone has tried it? and were you able to get one?

[This "word" came from different CM's, on different days, when I called to ask about making a lunch FP because I can't get through online to try for one.]
Thanks!

I received an e-mail the day of our trip. Earlier notice would be nice.

I just went on the wdw site and hit "chat". I asked the CM when I would be able to make a FP+ for BOG lunch.
This is a first...she said I would receive an email 28 days before check in (which would be this coming Wednesday) and I will be able to make a FP+ on check in. We shall see!

You don't need to wait for an email. There's a website - beourguestlunch.disney.go.com - where you can get a FP+ for BoG if you're staying on site. Right now FP+ can be made through June 28. Disney opens up more dates when they seem to feel like it, and there's no real system to it. If you log on through that site and it says that there is nothing available for your dates, chances are those dates haven't opened up yet.

My stay isn't until December, but when I log into the site the first days of my trip are highlighted so I can choose them but the last days aren't highlighted (and the day I need the FP+ for is one of the days that isn't highlighted). I know I can't make my FP+ yet, but it makes me nervous that I can't select the day I need. I'm staying at 2 different hotels during my trip so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you resolve it.

The BoG FP+ site will let you look at almost any date you want, whether it's open for FP+ selection or not. If you choose one of those dates, it will just say that nothing is available. Are the highlighted dates for your second hotel stay? I believe that others have said that the system tends to only recognize your first reservation and that you can't make a FP+ during a second separate reservation until you get within 7 days of it.

The highlighted dates are for the first stay but I'm not going to MK until my second stay. Waiting until 7 days of that stay to make a FP+ ressie is going to stress me out.

I have a question.....Does making a FP reservation for BOG affect how many ride reservations you can make? Also, when I made a reservation, I did not receive a confirmation number. How does this work?

The BoG FP+ has no effect on FP+ for attractions. It's a totally different and separate system. It is also separate from the usual dining reservation system, so you won't receive a confirmation number. The only place you can view your reservation is on the BoG website. And if you try to call anyone at Disney about your BoG FP+, I can almost guarantee that they won't know what you're talking about and won't have access to any (correct) information about it. The CMs on the phone lines have been giving out bizarre information about BoG FP+. You can get better information here.

I really think you won't have a problem getting a FP+ even within 7 days. Most of the WDW-visiting world doesn't even know about this, since it isn't like making a regular ADR. We made a FP+ for lunch at BoG three times during our March vacation. After the first lunch, I went on the site and had no problem getting a FP+ for a couple days later, and I did it a third time, again with plenty of choices available just a few days later.

So, on day of reservation, We just go to the podium and tell them we have a FP reservation and that's it? Sounds tooooo easy :)

Assuming you made a FP+ and you're within your half-hour window - yeah, it's that easy. Several people have said that they weren't able to review their reservation on the site after they made it, so they weren't sure if it was still there, but in just about every instance, the CMs at the kiosk found it with no problem.

One suggestion - I wish that I had pre-ordered our food when I booked our FP+ for lunch! I had thought that might have been a little too much planning for my family, but as we stood in line to place our order I certainly wished I had already pre-ordered the food!!! I was surprised how long it took once we were inside the castle because the families in front of us took a really long time at the kiosks!

Also, keep checking over and over as more times often appear. I had one day at MK when I was hoping for a BOG FP+ time because we didn't have an ADR then and the time offered to me at BOG was not good - like a 1:50 and we had a 5:00 dinner ADR! I kept checking back and just hours later that day a slot opened up two hours earlier than worked perfectly for us.

Anyone who is having trouble finding that 12 digit number, I found it of all weird places on our magic express tags. It is still way too early for me to make our lunch fastpass but at least I finally found the reservation number.
