AS of Wed 6/2 The Magic Kingdom's "Share a dream come true parade" Will undergo major changes. First off, the least amount of Charcters possabul will be riding on floats. Which means, snow white, all seven drawfs, goofy, donald and the villans will all Walking. And for the first time since opening day in 1955 IN DL, Minnie Mouse will not be on a float but will be walking. Also, Many Charcters, have been removed from the parade indefently. Such as, the lost boys, and others. Wendy, will now ride on the peter pan float with peter. Also, The classic "Castle" Float is now a permanet float in the parade.

Yes... it was weird. There are a lot of details that need to be worked out, like the Finale music comming from the Peter Pan Float, Beauty and the Beast quotes comming from the Cindy Float, and ... well that darn castle float just doesnt fit.

Looks like its time for a new parade, folks. Was very werid to see the Cavalcade (sans Mickey) just walking down the parade route. They danced but it just wasnt right. Plus a float with just Pan and Wendy? Just didnt fit right....

Today was the first day, not yesterday. Yesterday's Rains kept the changes from taking place.

That doesn't really make sense to me, wasn't the accident caused by a character that was walking along the float? So why now make even more characters walk around the floats? You would think that putting more characters on the floats will lessen the chance of them being hit.

Ya it was quite interesting to see. Cindy Globe is back, and God it was gorgeous to see it again. It was very weird to see Minnie, walk, we see how long that lasts. The classic castle float did sort of feel out of place, but it does have a purpose. Although the finale float now being the Peter Pan is really the weirdest of the changes to me.

Oh please.... If you actually were there, you'd know what i'm talking about. In short, between the Villians Float and the Pan Float, the cavelcade walks. There's plenty of space and plenty of stopping room for the floats.

The new Cindy/Old Princess Float is now just one segment rather than 3. There's a lot of fine tuneing to do.

So, doesn anyone else have a problem with Peter Pans' float being the final float in this parade besides me? I mean, to me the last float in the parade should be the "Signature" float of the parade. Now I know that in the past that Mickey has sometimes occupied the first float out, which also didn't make much sense to me. He should be on the last float. Sort of the same idea as having Santa on the last float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

With the exception of Jammin Jungle, Stars and Modercars, and 45yrs Stars on parade, Mickey has always been the opening float from the last 15 years. On thoes parades he has been the final float. The thing with pan is that up untill tuesday, minnie, goofy, and donald occupied w/pan, so it kinda made sense, but now that wendy is on there. it makes no sense. NOW, what would have been logical is to put some of the lost boys, to complete the float, now it just looks like its missing something. AS for the "Castle" float, its still beatuful. i also like the fact that they have Aurora and Phillip On it(and in pink)

There is also much....much more space inbetween the floats.....and you dont need to be a genius to figrue out why....

Mickey was the finale float for Mickey Mania which closed September, 1996. By far my favorite 3:00 parade. "Mickey Mania, Far as you can see..."

I liked the Mickey Mania Parade. The music was catchy and it was cool. It was also the ONLY time I EVER remember seeing the Tick Tock Crocodile from Peter Pan. Why doesn't he make appearances at all anymore?

I think the number walking/riding won't be changed a lot, its just WHO is walking. Wendy and the Lost Boys interacted/ played with kids along parade route quite a bit. More than Minnie and gang anyways.

If you listen to the parade tracks Pan is talking to Tink and she tells him that "It was all started by a mouse." That's why Mickey is the first float. All of Walts dreams started with a mouse. Mickey started everything that came after him.

Peter Pan never was the last float, it was a grand finale with 20 (ish) Disney characters, including Minnie, Donald, Goofy. The truth is, if you looked at the float Walt actually ended the parade.

With the changes about 30 characters end the parade, the moajority being the Princesses. Not the best ending compared to how it was but oh well.

I agree, it looks like it's time for a new parade. When will that happen?

Oh, and I loved the Mickey Mania parade, if only for nostalgia (I was young at the time). I have it on tape and the audio as a .mp3. There have been better parades, though, and SADCT in its original form was my favorite MK day parade that I have seen.

Also, I remember a parade in which Mickey was on a The Prince & The Pauper float, which was the next-to-last float, with the princesses wrapping it up.
