When the Star Wars canon was pared down to its bare essentials last year, Disney announced that officially in-canon stories were set to include cartoons like Star Wars Rebels, Marvel comic book series and books.

Marvel released Star Wars #6 this week, which included a major piece of information about Han Solo that Leia might have wanted to know when they first met.

A masked character was introduced in the comic book series’ fourth issue, but the final pages of this week’s entry revealed her true identity. And it… well, changes some things about Han and Leia. As the page below shows, the woman, face to face with Han and Leia, introduces herself as Han’s wife, Sana Solo (which, regardless of what this means for canon, is a fantastic alliterative name).

For a perfect tie in with the Nal Vegas storyline, it will turn out they were married by this Elvis Impersonator in a 24 cycles (hour?) chapel.

I doubt we would see the wife as this would be 30 years later then what is shown in the comic. It could also be his ex-wife and they are playing it up as a cliff hanger for the comic. Lupita is confirmed to be playing a CG character.

Good thinking. I hadn't considered that. Either way, I never consider the comics or spin off books of the franchise as part of the canon. There's too many contradictions that if we would be counting them all none of it would make sense. I wouldn't think too hard on this one.

This comic is canon according to the Disney Company. They ditched pretty much everything outside the 6 movies and stated that they would be releasing new comics, books etc that would be canon. This comic is one of the items listed as being canon.

Fan Theories - John Borga's - Fin is Han's son with his first wife. Sana is Lando's sister.

Now that would be a sweet plot twist. would def be a creative way to bring back Lando into the new trilogy. That would also make Finn and Kylo would be half-brothers, meaning their battles with one another be bittersweet & emotional. As for Rey only speculation now as to what her relationship with the Solo family might be, but some suspect she could as well be connected to the family. Nothing certain on her yet, but wow, could you imagine 3 of the main new stars in TFA all being siblings, and all connect one way or another to Han Leia, Lando.

I heard that Rey was rumored to be their daughter. I hadn't heard the rumor about Kylo.

That too would make sense, as it's been leaked her first name is Kira. If this turns out to be true, this could make the siblings: Kylo Ren Solo and Kira Rey Solo.

Kylo, being the eldest, was given the acronymic (SKYwalker/SoLO) combined first name of his mother Leia & father Han.

Of course, JJ Abrams is also the master of deception when it comes to rumors & "leaks"...so I don't believe anything until I see it.
