Maingate Lakeside Resort??

Hello all! My inlaws are coming from overseas and despite our recommendation that they stay on site with us at WDW, they have booked the Maingate Lakeside resort. Can anyone tell me the good, bad or ugly about this resort? thanks!! I would so love for them to change and come on property with us, but if this hotel has positive reviews from you, I will leave them alone!! Thanks!!

Personally I would always pick on site because of the transportation and convince... And if its not a space or $$ issue I would change it if you can. But that is my personal opinion... :)

I have stayed there a couple of times. It is an older hotel. If they are just looking for a place to shower and sleep they will get by. There are no elevators (only 2 stories). There is a 10 dollar a day resort fee. They do give you a few coupons for drinks and sandwiches for their hotel. If you take your kids to see them there they can play free putt-putt on an older course in the back of the hotel. Hope that helps.

My experience to this hotel was nice. I stayed there once and the place was not as bad as some people said. Hotel staff was very friendly. The room was super clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a decent price, not to mention delicious. All was well. :)
