I was just sitting here thinking of the original Electrical Parade and how I wish I had a video of it from when I was little. So I thought I'd do a search to see if I could find any video of it and guess what, I did!:sohappy: I thought you all might enjoy watching it too.

Cool! Thanks for posting the link! I saw it back in 2000 when they brought it back for a short time (not sure exactly how long). I never saw it as a kid, so I was very excited to see it then. I even have it on video.

yeh i remember it when i was very young and then when they brought it back in 1999 - 2000, 2001? i know its in dca right? but is there any chance we'll ever see another special apperance of it? or is it completly retired? or who knows

only time i've ever been to wdw was in summer 1999(until next week anyways =D). anyways, i'd just gone through the electrical parade going away forever thing in winter of 96. All we get said to our faces from CMs is how it's outdated and we need an updated show with fiber obtics like WDW has. you all know how light magic turned out, yadda yadda, and now there's nothing.

So I come to WDW in summer '99, walk through the gates, and see on the programming guide "Main Street Electrical Parade". Oh man. I flipped out. I did the biggest happy dance you've ever seen right then and there. :sohappy: :hammer: :sohappy:

I'm glad you all enjoyed the link of the parade. I saw it one last time in 1999 with my husband and two kids and was so excited. I taped the whole thing!!!! Then when we got back home, it was my DD birthday and my brother (gotta love him) assured me he DIDN'T rewind the tape in the camera. He did rewind it and I taped my DD birthday OVER the Main Street Electrical Parade . I was SOOoo mad I couldn't talk to anyone for quit a while. I know he didn't mean to do it, but still, I can never get that footage back. It not only had the parade on it, it had my kids WATCHING the parade on it. Oh well, now all I can do it hope that maybe someday, WDW will bring back the parade so I can see it and tape it again. :wave:

Yes, your right. When this happened, I just got done showing my family the video of our trip, and the tape the parade was on was only 1/4 full and well your know the rest............it was a very hectic day :veryconfu.

I have a copy at my parents house that i want to put on DVD. I just need to get around to it.
