Magicband on Demand questions

On my first upcoming trip, I'm debating on whether I should come in a night earlier to get everything settled. I'm going to be getting an annual pass and wanted to get processing over with before I get to the parks. I also wanted a Magicband on Demand for the park the next day.

My question is how long a band on demand takes to complete and if they will send it to package puckup at my resort once it's done. Is there also a cutoff time for making them at night? I'm not making this the deciding factor on when I should fly in, but I really want to try it out.

Thanks

Don't know about a cut off time, but I understood that the bands were done while you waited, and you took them with you. I'm assuming that you would want to do this at DS at the Coop, if you want it all done before you hit the parks. If you have it sent to your resort, it wouldn't arrive before you went to the park the next day.

I don’t know if this is going to answer your question, but I activated my AP upgrade the first day I was at the parks (I also came in a day early due to super cheap flights on that day but went to DS and hung at the resort). My reason for not activating early is that then it expires a day sooner the next year.
I brought my AP letter and my magic band to Epcot and went to guest services, waited just a few minutes and it was taken care of. They also give you your AP card, which you show for discounts.

I got to Epcot before rope drop and went directly to guest services as soon as I could, but I think I had to wait until the park opened before they allowed me to head over there. It took maybe 10 minutes, and there was some in front of me.
I think a lot of people spend the day at DS if they come in a day early so it makes sense that the line there would be long.

My bf bought a custom phone case in the Magic Kingdom. It was ready for pickup from the counter in about 20 minutes. I presume a MagicBand would be about the same. Order it, go do something for a bit, come back and pick up.
