Magical Moments Batteries

Today I was checking the spare batteries that Disney gives you when you buy the Magical Moments pins, and when I put them in they don't light the pin up. I was wondering if any of you had this problem when you were changing the batteries in your pins. I am wondering if there is something I have to do after changing the batteries to make the pin work again.

If anyone knows please tell me, I would really appreciate it.

Did you put them in the right way?

Sometimes you have to futz with cover to makesure the connect is there. It ought to blink through the color quickly as you screw the cover on - it wont blink without the cover securely on. It also will have lights "stuck on" if a battery is in backwards.

They've gotta be all the way and all the way screwed shut.

Maybe your batteries are dead?

Replacements are like 2-3 bucks at WalMart. CR-2032.

The batteries are 2.99 per pack. Then I will need 10 packs because I have five pins. I figure that two batteries will last me about half the trip. That comes out to 30 dollars.

Where are you shopping? Radio shack? If so, their lithium batteries last for 2 months.

Walmart's energizer batteries are only $1.29 last time i was there.

REALLY!

The people at Disney told me the batteries for the pins last for three days when they are in the parks.

Happy to hear they are good for that long. You are sure though right? I wouldn't want to get there and then not have the pins for the whole trip.

The basic cheapo energizer batteries last about 1 week.

If you splurge and buy the Lithium CR 2032 batteries from Radio Shack they last for about 1 month or more.

Plus, the less you touch the pin to activate it, the longer it lasts. Never leave one sitting on it's face.

Thanks for the information Rob!

I am going to go to Radio Shack tomorrow. What product should I look for (brand, I know the model CR2032)

You can always buy spare batteries and keep the reciept for them.

The pins can be "tested" for power by touching the face. If only 2 or 3 lights turn on, the batteries will die before the end of the day.
