I see posts on other boards that the luggage tags that get sent to us go to the travel agent we booked through... what about if we booked through Expedia.com?? Has anyone else booked through them??
Does Expedia book DME for you? I wouldn't think so.
Try calling DME direct at 1-866-599-0951. They can confirm if they have a booking. If you have your flight info and resort, they can book you onto DME if it isn't there already. If you call more than 21 days in advance, they should ship luggage tags in time [you can request they be shipped direct to you].
My booking was done by a travel agent, I called about 10 days before to confirm. They had the correct address and said the tags had been ordered, but I never actually got them. It wasn't a problem, I took a digital picture of my bag and gave it to them at DME check-in along with the baggage claim tags and they found my bag and it was in my room when I returned from the parks that night.
Yes, once I booked my trip with Expedia it directed me to the Disney site to confirm my reservation, dates and times. I'm noticing a lot of posts of people not getting their tags. That worries me.
I booked through Expedia in October 05. Rec'd my tags and free gift vouchers about 2 weeks before my trip. Everything went fine with DME. We had to wait at MCO for about 20 mins for a bus to hotel. Check in took 15 mins. We didn't actually go in our room until around midnight so I don't know what time our bags got there, but every single bag was in the room waiting for us just as promised. If you have an early return flight checking bags at the express check in offered in the hotel lobby is very easy and convenient. We went through the entire trip and never had to lug anything around. I was so impressed we are using it again for our trip in May. 59 days and counting...........:king:
